What Is HA and Why Does Skin Need It?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural structural component of skin, and is present in connective tissue throughout the human body.
So why is Hyaluronic Acid such a big deal?
The magic of this ingredient lies in its ability to retain moisture. This is critical, because one of the key signs of youthful skin is its moisture content. As we get older, our skin loses moisture, resulting in a loss of firmness and pliability.
How much Hyaluronic Acid A is in Erase/Repair?
It's a 2% solution, which is a recommended strength for Hyaluronic Acid content.
What is Retinol?
Retinol is another name for Vitamin A. Retinol is a cell-communicating ingredient that helps create healthier skin cells, provides antioxidant support, and helps build the collagen molecules that enhance skin’s structural elements.
What percentage of retinol is optimal for a skincare product?
Although the percentage can make a difference it is not the key in understanding how a retinol product will benefit your skin. More important is the formula itself and the efficacy of the combination of ingredients. The packaging is also very important. Light breaks down retinol, so it must be stored in an opaque package, and used overnight instead of as a morning serum. (For a morning serum, try Beauty & Truth's Vitamin C serum!)
